Since 1962, Tom Biglieni’s family has proudly been involved in the Hereford business. As a junior growing up, Tom has found memories of attending what has become the most well attended annual Hereford event – Junior Nationals. Over the years he garnered many awards at this event including two Reserve Junior National Champions, many division winners, and back-to-back junior and senior showmanship championships. Tom’s two daughters have carried this family winning tradition on to the next generation creating their own list of achievements which include Champion Bred-and-Owned Heifer at the 25th Junior Nationals and numerous district and state fair champion titles.
Tom has also been privileged by his peers with judging honors on a national level. In 1997, he judged the National Polled Hereford Show. He also has found great pride in being chosen to judge the Polled Hereford Junior Nationals in 1992 as well as many state fairs across the country.
As it would look to most Hereford enthusiasts, Tom is very “show” oriented. However, for the past 30 years he has been deeply involved in the commercial cattle business along with producing and showing high quality Hereford cattle. For 25 years, Tom worked as a fieldman for the region’s most well known stockyards, Springfield Regional Stockyards and Joplin Stockyards, as well as buying and selling cattle for his personal clients.
With interest in helping others achieve success, whether it be within the show industry, commercial cattle production or beef cattle industry in general, T Big Consulting was born. With today’s lifestyle, Tom understands when breeders with a great passion for the industry are tied down with other responsibilities with an outside job or are just restricted on their involvement within the cattle industry. He created T Big Consulting for those breeders who cannot be involved with every function, sale or show, but still aspire to have a successful cattle operation. As Tom puts it clearly, “Let me become a friend to you, so I can be your eyes and ears to get your program to the next level.”
